Currently Active or Upcoming Data Requests:

• BlazeWatch (08 August to 31 December 2025): Map land cover in an around Stanley, Virginia, to reduce wildfire risk. 

Past Data Requests:

• NASA Response Mappers (01 August to 31 October 2025): Make periodic observations (weekly or monthly) of land cover at the same locations in areas of the southern and southeastern United States to provide baseline data to support disaster response efforts.
• Wildflower Blooms (24 March 2025 to 01 June 2025): Photograph the emergence of seasonal wildflowers in large areas and note the predominant bloom color.
• National Tree Week - How Tall is my Local Tree? (03 March 2025 to 28 March 2025): Observe the height of Irish trees as part of Ireland's National Tree Week.
• Snow and Snowdrift Photos in Delta Junction (01 February to 28 February 2025): Take land cover photos of snow along the Bluff Cabin Trail in Alaska in support of the Snow View Intensive Observation Period.
• SMART FIRES Burn Site Monitoring Test (16 September to 17 September 2024): Take clouds, land cover and, trees observations to support research about prescribed fires.
• Eyes on the Landscape - GLOBE Annual Meeting (14 July to 19 July 2024): Take Land Cover and Trees observations on the campus of the State University of New York, Fredonia, NY during the 2024 GLOBE Annual Meeting.
• Mosquito Observers of Greenbelt (25 July to 25 October 2023): Mosquito observations in the Greenbelt Homes, Inc. cooperative housing community in Greenbelt, Maryland.
• NASA Moon Trees Quest (21 June to 21 September 2023): A regional data request to find and measure the tree heights of Apollo 14 Moon Trees species (Douglas-fir, loblolly pine, sweetgum, sycamore, and coast redwood) and actual Apollo 14 Moon Trees around the United States.
• SUNY Fredonia BioBlitz (22 April to 22 May 2022): Land cover observations on the campus of the State University of New York in Fredonia.
• Fresh Eyes on Ice - Copper and Chitina Rivers (21 Feb to 31 Mar 2022): Land cover observations focused specifically on areas near two rivers in southeast Alaska
