We hear it all the time: You love getting the email from NASA matching your Clouds observations with satellite data. We are excited to announce that, starting in September, you will now be able to get an email from NASA that aligns your land cover observations with satellite data just as you can now for GLOBE Clouds.

In the GLOBE Observer Connect on the 18th of September, the GLOBE Observer team answered questions about the new land cover satellite comparisons. The conversation covered how we match your data to satellite data, where to find satellite comparison information for any new GLOBE land cover observation, and how to interpret the comparison. We hope that these new collocated land cover observations provide feedback that will help every GLOBE volunteer see how their observations of the land support and complement the larger space-based view!
