The State of Trees May 2024

Date: 05/28/2024 - 05/28/2024
Time: 2:00 am ET - 3:00 am ET
Location: virtual

On Tuesday, 28 May 2024, at 2:00 am ET (6:00 UTC) Brian Campbell will lead a live discussion from the 2024 Japan Geoscience Union Meeting (JAXA): Revisiting the Water-Land-Tree Boundary and the “2023 Where is the Water Challenge” through the use on NASA Datasets and NASA Worldview.

He and participating scientists will talk about the importance of land cover and tree height observations, particularly at the water’s edge. Since the theme of Earth Day 2024 focuses on Earth’s oceans and waterways, he will also take a look at some newer datasets, including SWOT, OPERA, and the Landsat Water Index.

The webinar will be rebroadcast on 28 May at 1:00 pm ET (17:00 UTC).
