GLOBE is working to provide you more opportunities to contribute to NASA science, including through the current North American Phenology Campaign. This fall, GLOBE volunteers are invited to use GLOBE Land Cover to document changing leaf colors to help verify a unique new PACE leaf color product.

The GLOBE Observer Connect conversation on 22 September 2026 was a way to learn more about this opportunity to support PACE from PACE vegetation scientist, Skye Caplan. Skye introduced PACE, a new hyperspectral satellite designed to measure plankton, aerosols, clouds, and the ocean ecosystem, and described some of the ways she is using PACE data to study plants on land, including the new leaf color product.
