The first Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign of calendar year 2024 will be  a revisit to the Miyawaki Forests from our December 5, 2023, webinar. Peder Nelson will discuss how NASA and GLOBE data can help in tracking Miyawaki Forests through biomass and carbon sequestration calculations. Following this featured presentation, we will then focus on several things during the webinar, including the Year of Open Science (including Open Science 101) and the needs of campaign participants for the upcoming 2024 GLOBE International Virtual Science Symposium (IVSS).
